And how long after the break up if ever do you deal with those feelings? Is the pain intense or is it just thoughts of that person?
Most of us guys suppress the feelings, but they tend to pop up from stimuli that is visual and verbal. It can take along time until you fully move on, and can open up again.
sweet Mildred is in the house…crawl into her playpen
I see it quite often so I’d like to know what people think. Why do couples break up and then get back together after a month or you know, being apart for some time?
They break up to screw around with other people and then they realize how much they THINK they miss each other and get back together just to do it all over again.
I would like to know if having a crush soon after a long and tedious break up (relationship of 3 years) is just a coping mechanism?
it could be a coping mechanism.. then again it could be that you really do like the person.
the real question is, what do you need? just because you know you are using coping mechanisms, it doesn’t mean YOU DON’T NEED IT. coping mechanisms exist for a reason- to cope with huge stresses. breaking up is a very stressful event. often times people feel that once they know about themselves and what they are doing, they can "be better than that." this is not necessarily true. pretending like you are invincible to something just because you know its name is not going to work. so, don’t feel bad if you are really having a crappy time and need to alter your reality a little bit. sometimes it’s just necessary to allow things to happen, and not try to psych yourself out/be invincible. don’t feel guilty, we’re all humans. so what you need to figure out is, "what do i need?" and not "why am i doing this?"
Im at home board feeling bad after a break up. Where should I go or do alone this Sunday afternoon to make me feel better? Any suggestions anyone?
when time like this come up,you need someone that you can talk to.please don’t call one of your girlfriend, and let them no what going on.is there someone older than you?that you look at as a mother?well that who you talk with.

I am breaking up with my girlfriend tonight. Its very mutual and we have been together for a year. Is there a way to still have each other in our lives after we break up? (friends, hanging out) Cuz its going to be difficult adapting.
I am in a very similar situation, and it aint easy. I’m sure (like me) you’ve been going over different scenarios in your head. The best way to do it is to make it the least nasty you can, don’t raise your voice, don’t provoke any bad feelings or arguing, just lay your feelings out on the table and let her know how you feel. You’ve been together for a year so I’m sure neither of you will be able to let go of all you’ve been through together.
I hope it works out for you
After 2 plus years going out with this guy. We broke up with each other. He was on the website that night looking for another woman.
How long should I wait before going out on dates or seeing guys?
Also, how can guys be that way after a break up with their girlfriends?
Everyone takes a break up differently. It all depends on how you feel about letting someone else into your life right now. You don’t want to jump in another relationship and feel tied down with your emotions from the relationship before because all you will be thinking about is your ex. That is just not fair to you or your present boyfriend. giving yourself time to heal is always good so you can know yourself and what you want in the next person you date.
